Product overview

Tower UPS to protect a complete workstation: line-interactive with voltage regulation and 1500 VA / 900 W.
Technology & protection: it switches to battery the instant the power cuts out, absorbs surges and corrects voltage dips and spikes to deliver steady power.
Power: 1500 VA for 900 W of usable output — a PC, one or two monitors and their accessories.
Outlets: 4 Schuko outlets (earthed household sockets) — plug your devices straight in, no adapter needed.
LCD display: it shows the load, battery level and remaining runtime at a glance — so you can monitor the UPS without any software.

Frequently asked questions about this product

How long does the Horus Plus 1500 run on battery?
7 minutes 30 seconds at half load, i.e. 450 W, and 4 minutes at 75%. On this UPS as on the others, it is the load actually connected that decides: aiming for half the rated power nearly doubles the time available.
What does the Horus Plus 1500's AVR correct, and over what range?
A regulator with two boost steps and one buck step — finer than the single boost of entry-level models — restores the voltage without switching to battery, over an input range of 170 to 280 V.
What does the Horus Plus 1500's screen show?
A touch LCD screen shows the load, the remaining runtime and the battery level in real time. A touchscreen is rare at this level of the range: it lets you check and adjust the UPS without going through a computer.
Are all four outlets backed by the battery?
Yes, all four French outlets are powered by the battery: none is reserved for surge protection only. RJ11/RJ45 line protection also covers the telephone and the network.
What waveform does the Horus Plus 1500 output?
A simulated sine wave, built up in steps, not a pure sine wave. Switching to battery takes 2 to 6 milliseconds typically, an interval a desktop computer does not notice.
Why does 1500 VA give only 900 W?
The power factor is 0.6: 1500 × 0.6 = 900 W actually available. That covers a workstation with one or two monitors and their accessories — always add up the watts, never the VA.
Can the UPS start without mains power, and is it noisy?
Yes, it has a cold start function: it switches on from the battery even when no mains power is present. Its noise level stays below 40 dB, so it can sit next to a workstation.
How do you connect the Horus Plus 1500 to a computer?
Through its USB port, with the ViewPower software, which handles monitoring and automatic shutdown of the computer before the battery runs out. It is the unit's only communication port.
How much space does the Horus Plus 1500 take up, and what batteries does it house?
320 × 130 × 182 mm and 9.9 kg, in a compact tower format. It houses two internal GP09122L batteries, which account for most of that weight.
Is the nJoy Horus Plus 1500 UPS new and under warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document for 3 years. Its input frequency is detected automatically at 50 or 60 Hz, and the output is held to ±1 Hz. The datasheet details the rest.
