Frequently asked questions about this product

Can you put two SIM cards and a microSD card in the Galaxy A26 at the same time?
The tray is hybrid: its second position takes either a second nano-SIM or a microSD card, never both at once. You therefore have to choose between a second line and memory expansion — which nonetheless goes up to 2 TB.
How much space is actually usable on the Galaxy A26's 128 GB?
106.5 GB remain available for your files, with the system and preinstalled apps taking up the difference. If you store a lot of photos and videos, the microSD slot takes over — at the cost of the second SIM card, since the tray is hybrid.
Does the Galaxy A26 have stereo speakers?
Sound comes from a single speaker: there is no stereo output on this model. For a film or a game, headphones or a Bluetooth 5.3 speaker instantly restore the soundstage. Wired headphone output goes through the USB-C port.
Is the Galaxy A26 really water resistant?
It is IP67 certified, based on laboratory submersion tests in up to 1 metre of fresh water for 30 minutes. Rain and splashes are no concern, but using it at the beach or the pool is not recommended, and this resistance decreases with wear.
For how many years will the Galaxy A26 receive updates?
Six generations of Android and six years of security patches from the global launch, with security support provided until 31 March 2031. Uncommon in this segment, this support extends the device's useful life accordingly.
What battery life can you expect from the Galaxy A26?
Up to 17 hours of video playback. Note the figure: the 5,000 mAh stated is a typical value, the minimum rated capacity being 4,860 mAh, measured to the IEC 61960 standard. Actual battery life depends on the network and your habits.
Does the Galaxy A26 have optical zoom?
Its zoom is digital, up to 10x: it crops the image rather than magnifying it optically, and detail is lost the further you push it. The 50 MP main sensor, however, is optically stabilised (OIS), which really helps in low light and for video.
Does the Galaxy A26's front camera focus on its own?
Its focus is fixed: the 13 MP f/2.2 front sensor has no autofocus, no stabilisation and no dedicated flash. Hold the phone at arm's length for a sharp portrait. On the back, however, autofocus and optical stabilisation are both present.
How fast does the Galaxy A26 transfer files to a computer?
Its USB-C port runs at USB 2.0: the speed is enough for charging and everyday syncing, but copying several tens of gigabytes of video takes patience. Transferring from an old phone, for its part, is done with Smart Switch.
Can you use the Galaxy A26 in desktop mode on an external screen?
Samsung DeX is not supported on this model: it does not display a desktop interface on an external screen. This is the point to check if you were planning to replace a laptop with a phone paired with a keyboard and a screen.
What glass protects the Galaxy A26's screen and back?
Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+, on the front as well as the back. This protection does not, however, cover the camera glass, the frame, the volume and side keys or the SIM tray: a case remains useful to protect the corners.
Does the Galaxy A26's screen really measure 6.7 inches?
The 6.7-inch diagonal is measured on the full rectangle; taking the rounded corners into account, it is 6.5 inches, and the visible area is slightly smaller still because of the camera punch-hole. The Super AMOLED panel displays 1080 × 2340 at 120 Hz.
How does the Galaxy A26 protect passwords and sensitive data?
With Samsung Knox Vault, EAL5+ certified: a hardware area isolated from the main processor, where authentication data is locked away. The screen has also received SGS Eye Care certification for its blue light reduction.
Is the Galaxy A26 new and under warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document for 1 year. Keep it: it is the document you will be asked for when making a warranty claim.
