This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Which processors does the MSI MAG B860 TOMAHAWK WIFI accept?
Intel Core Ultra Arrow Lake-S processors, on the LGA 1851 socket and Intel B860 chipset. This socket is different from LGA 1700: a 12th- to 14th-generation Core will not fit.
Does this motherboard have Thunderbolt?
Yes: a Thunderbolt 4 Type-C port sits on the rear panel. It is the port for docking stations, fast storage enclosures and single-cable displays.
How many M.2 SSDs can I install on this motherboard?
Three: one PCIe 5.0 x4 and two PCIe 4.0 x4. The Gen5 port is the fastest — that is where the system SSD goes if you have a compatible one.
How much memory does this B860 motherboard accept?
4 DDR5 slots in dual-channel mode, 64 GB per module, i.e. 256 GB. Supported frequencies go up to 9,200 MHz.
Can I connect a monitor to the HDMI output without a graphics card?
Only if the processor has an integrated graphics core: the motherboard has no graphics controller of its own, it relays the processor's. Without it, the HDMI and DisplayPort outputs stay blank.
How many SATA drives does this motherboard support?
4 SATA 6 Gbps ports, with RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 support. They add to the three M.2 slots for mixed storage.
What are the network connections of the MAG B860 TOMAHAWK WIFI?
An Intel 5 Gbps wired port, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. Two SMA antenna connectors are provided at the rear.
What power supply does this MSI motherboard require?
The 24-pin and two 8-pin 12 V connectors for the processor. The board also has an additional 8-pin PCIe power connector, which relieves the graphics slot.
How is the processor power delivery sized?
With dual-rail 12+1+1+1 phases, using 60 A power stages, under enlarged heatsinks with 7 W/mK thermal pads. Enough to sustain a Core Ultra under prolonged load.
Can I update the BIOS without a processor installed?
Yes: the board has a Flash BIOS button and a Clear CMOS button at the rear. The first is used when the processor is newer than the BIOS installed at the factory.
Is installing this motherboard made easier?
Yes: the I/O panel is pre-installed, the SSDs are secured with EZ M.2 clips and the graphics card is released with the EZ PCIe clip, without sliding a finger under the cooler.
Can I connect LED strips to this motherboard?
Yes: three addressable RGB LED headers and two standard RGB headers are provided, plus a chassis intrusion detection header.
