1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Which processors does the MSI PRO Z890-P WIFI accept?
Intel Core Ultra processors, on the LGA 1851 socket with the Intel Z890 chipset. The board takes only one processor, and this socket does not accept 12th- to 14th-generation Core processors.
How many M.2 SSDs can I install on this motherboard?
Four: one PCIe 5.0 x4 and three PCIe 4.0 x4. The Gen5 port is the fastest — that is where the system SSD goes.
How much memory does this Z890-P motherboard accept?
4 DDR5 slots, up to 256 GB, with Memory Boost and Memory Extension Mode technologies and support for XMP profiles. Frequencies go up to 8,400 MHz.
Does this motherboard have Thunderbolt?
Yes: a Thunderbolt 4 Type-C port sits on the rear panel. It is the port for docking stations, fast storage enclosures and monitors connected with a single cable.
Which PCI Express slots does this motherboard offer?
One PCIe 5.0 x16 for the graphics card, reinforced with Steel Armor II, and three PCIe 4.0 x16. The board also carries an additional PCIe power connector, which relieves the graphics slot.
What network connections does the PRO Z890-P WIFI have?
Wi-Fi 7 with the EZ Antenna, Bluetooth 5.4 and a 5 Gbps wired port. A USB Type-C connector is also provided for the front of the case.
How many SATA drives does this motherboard support?
Four SATA 6 Gbps ports, with support for RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10. They add to the four M.2 slots to build mixed storage.
How is the processor power delivery sized?
As a dual-rail 14+1+1+1-phase design with 55 A DrMOS stages, under an extended VRM heatsink with 7 W/mK thermal pads. A connector for a water-cooling pump is also present.
Can I update the BIOS without a processor installed?
Yes: a dedicated button updates the board without a processor or memory fitted. This is what unblocks a build that refuses to start with a processor newer than the factory BIOS.
Do I need a screwdriver to install the SSD or the graphics card?
No: the EZ M.2 Shield Frozr II and EZ PCIe Clip II systems allow tool-free installation, for the SSD and the graphics card alike. The I/O shield is also pre-installed.
Does this motherboard fit in a mid-tower case?
Yes: it is a standard ATX form factor. Any case advertised as ATX-compatible will take it; a chassis limited to micro-ATX will be too short.
Is this MSI PRO Z890-P WIFI motherboard new and under warranty?
Yes, it is a new MSI product, reference 911-7E34-001, with HDMI and DisplayPort outputs and Audio Boost audio. The invoice serves as the warranty document, for 1 year. Keep it in case a defect is found.
