1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

Which processors does the MSI Z790 GAMING PLUS WIFI support?
12th and 13th generation Intel Core processors, as well as Pentium Gold and Celeron, on an LGA 1700 socket with the Intel Z790 chipset.
How many drives can this motherboard hold?
Four M.2 Gen4 x4 SSDs at 64 Gbps and six SATA 6 Gbps ports. Enough to combine a fast system SSD, working SSDs and storage hard drives without an add-in card.
Do M.2 SSDs heat up on this motherboard?
The slots are covered by the M.2 Shield Frozr heatsink, which protects the SSD from overheating and prevents thermal throttling — the drop in speed that occurs after a few minutes of sustained copying.
How much memory does this Z790 motherboard support?
4 DDR5 slots in dual channel, up to 7,200 MHz and beyond when overclocked. DDR4 does not fit in these slots.
Can I connect a monitor to this motherboard without a graphics card?
The HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 outputs go up to 4K at 60 Hz, but they require a processor with integrated graphics. Without one, a graphics card is essential.
Can I connect my case's front-panel USB-C port?
Yes: an internal USB-C connector is provided for the front panel, in addition to the 20 Gbps USB-C port on the rear panel. The case port will not go unused.
What are the network connections of this MSI motherboard?
An Intel 2.5 Gbps wired port, Wi-Fi 6E — which uses the 6 GHz band at up to 2,400 Mbps — and Bluetooth 5.3.
Can I update the BIOS without a processor installed?
Yes: the Flash BIOS button on the rear panel updates the board with no processor or memory installed, from a USB flash drive. Essential if the processor is newer than the factory BIOS.
What PCI Express slots does this motherboard offer?
One PCIe 5.0 x16 for the graphics card, at up to 128 Gbps, one PCIe 4.0 x16 and two PCIe 3.0 x1. The first is reinforced with Steel Armor against bending.
Does this motherboard support water cooling?
Yes: a dedicated water-cooling pump header is present, alongside the fan headers. The power-stage heatsink is enlarged and fitted with 7 W/mK thermal pads.
Is installing this motherboard made easier?
Yes: the I/O panel is pre-installed — no more separate plate to clip in — and an XL-size clip makes removing the graphics card easier.
