Description
AOC Gaming · C32G2ZE
A large curved screen
that keeps up the pace.
The C32G2ZE combines a 31.5-inch VA panel curved at 1500R with a 240 Hz refresh rate. The result: a field of view that wraps around the player, without giving up the smoothness shooters and racing games need.
- 240 Hzover HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort
- 0.5 msMPRT response time
- 1500 Rcurvature radius
- 123 %of the sRGB space
240 Hz, whichever port you use
AOC specifies 1920 x 1080 at 240 Hz on both HDMI 2.0 inputs as well as on the DisplayPort 1.2: a gaming PC and a second machine can stay connected at all times. AMD FreeSync Premium sync covers the 48 to 240 Hz range and compensates for frame drops below that threshold, which prevents tearing when the game slows down.
A curve that brings the edges towards you
On 31.5 inches, the corners of a flat screen move away from your eyes. The 1500R curve brings them closer, and the thin bezel on three sides lets the image fill almost the whole front. The VA panel delivers 300 cd/m², shows 80,000,000:1 dynamic contrast and keeps 178° viewing angles.
From above, the arc of the 1500R panel and the V-shaped stand. How sharp a 31.5-inch Full HD screen is
The same 1920 x 1080 resolution spread over 31.5 inches gives a density of about 70 pixels per inch, with a 0.3637 mm pitch: the image is less fine than on a 24-inch Full HD monitor, which approaches 92 pixels per inch. In games, at a normal desk distance, size and smoothness come first; for spreadsheets or dense text, a QHD resolution will be more comfortable.
Game settings one button away
The FPS, Racing and RTS modes preset colour and sharpness for each type of game, and customisable Gamer profiles keep your own settings. Shadow Control brightens dark areas without washing out the rest of the image, Low Input Lag mode reduces processing delay, and the flicker-free backlight is easier on the eyes during long sessions.

Frequently asked questions about this product
Is 240 Hz available over HDMI or only over DisplayPort?
Over both. AOC specifies the optimum resolution of 1920 x 1080 at 240 Hz over DisplayPort 1.2 as well as HDMI 2.0. A console or PC connected over HDMI 2.0 can therefore use the maximum refresh rate, provided it sends a 240 frames per second signal.
What is the difference between the C32G2Z and C32G2ZE references?
It is the same monitor: the AOC model is named C32G2ZE and its full reference is C32G2ZE/BK. The specifications announced under the C32G2Z name (31.5-inch 1500R curved, Full HD VA, 240 Hz, FreeSync Premium) are exactly those of the C32G2ZE.
Is a 31.5-inch Full HD monitor sharp enough?
On 31.5 inches, Full HD gives a pixel pitch of 0.3637 mm, meaning a less detailed image than a 24-inch monitor with the same resolution. This monitor is aimed first at fast-paced gaming and immersion at a normal desk distance; for text-heavy office work, a QHD resolution would be more comfortable.
Is the stand height-adjustable?
No. The supplied stand only allows tilt, from -5° to +23°, with no height adjustment or pivot. To adjust the height, the monitor can be fitted to an arm or wall mount thanks to its VESA 100 x 100 mm compatibility.
Does the monitor have speakers?
No, the C32G2ZE has no built-in speakers. It does have a 3.5 mm headphone output that plays the sound carried by the HDMI or DisplayPort cable: you can plug in a gaming headset or powered speakers. With a console, the sound therefore goes through the monitor without an extra audio cable to the console.
Which cables are included?
The box contains an HDMI cable, a DisplayPort cable and a C13 power cord, each 1.8 m long. The power supply is built into the monitor: there is no external power brick.
Does it work with an NVIDIA graphics card?
The monitor is AMD FreeSync Premium certified and supports VESA Adaptive Sync over the 48 to 240 Hz range. AOC does not certify it as G-SYNC Compatible: with an NVIDIA card the image displays normally at 240 Hz, but proper operation of variable refresh is not validated by the manufacturer.
