Frequently asked questions about this product

Does the MSI PRO MP275QPDG charge my laptop through its USB-C port?
Yes: its USB Type-C port with Power Delivery supplies up to 98 W while also carrying the picture and data. A single cable therefore connects the laptop to the monitor, provided that the laptop's USB-C port supports video and charging.
Does the MP275QPDG give a laptop access to a wired network?
Yes, an RJ45 Ethernet port is built in: a laptop connected via USB-C gets a wired connection back without an adapter, even if it no longer has a network port of its own. It is one of three things the same cable delivers, along with the picture and charging.
Can a second monitor be daisy-chained to the MP275QPDG?
Yes: it supports daisy chaining through a DisplayPort 1.2a output separate from its input. The second monitor therefore connects to the first, without taking up a second video output on the computer.
How good is the WQHD resolution of this 27-inch monitor?
2560 x 1440 pixels with a 0.2331 mm pixel pitch: noticeably sharper than a Full HD monitor of the same diagonal, with enough room for two windows side by side. The panel is a matte IPS with 178° viewing angles on both axes, refreshed at 100 Hz.
Does the MP275QPDG stand switch to portrait mode on its own?
It pivots, and a gravity sensor detects the monitor's position. Adjustment covers four directions: height over 130 mm, tilt from -5° to +20°, swivel from -45° to +45° and rotation from -90° to +90°. The stand is removable and the monitor accepts a VESA 100 x 100 mm mount.
Can two computers be controlled with a single keyboard on this MSI monitor?
Yes, the KVM function makes that possible: two machines connected, a single keyboard and a single mouse for both. PIP and PBP modes also allow two sources to be displayed at the same time on the same panel.
Is the MP275QPDG compatible with NVIDIA and AMD graphics cards?
It supports Adaptive-Sync, the open synchronisation standard, but it is certified neither NVIDIA G-Sync nor AMD FreeSync. Synchronisation will therefore depend on what your graphics card accepts over Adaptive-Sync, which you should check in its settings.
What video connectivity does the MP275QPDG offer?
Two HDMI 2.0b inputs, one DisplayPort 1.2a input, one DisplayPort output for daisy chaining and the USB Type-C port. On top of that come four USB-A ports, one USB-B port and a headphone output: enough to bring several machines and their peripherals together at a single workstation.
Does this MSI monitor have speakers?
Yes, two 2 W speakers are built in, backed up by a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Enough to follow an online meeting or a video without adding speakers to the desk.
Does the MP275QPDG tire the eyes over a long day?
Its panel is matte and anti-glare, flicker-free and fitted with a blue light filter, all grouped under the MSI EyesErgo name and TÜV-certified. The frameless design also makes it easier to line up two monitors side by side.
Do you need an external power brick for the MP275QPDG?
No: the power supply is internal. The monitor uses 26 kWh per 1,000 hours of use, for an energy efficiency class of F, and weighs 7.05 kg for a width of 614 mm and a depth of 233.9 mm.
Is the MSI PRO MP275QPDG monitor new and under warranty?
Yes: a new product, in its original packaging, with a one-year warranty; your invoice serves as the warranty document. Keep it with the original box, which is useful if a warranty claim is needed.
