Professional UPS, convertible between rack and tower: line-interactive with voltage regulation, 1000 VA / 800 W and an LCD display. Technology & protection: it switches to battery the instant the power cuts out, absorbs surges and continuously corrects voltage fluctuations without drawing on the battery. Power: 1000 VA for 800 W of usable output — a workstation or a small server. Runtime: approx. 24 minutes at half load (400 W), 14 minutes at 70% — generous runtime for its class. Outlets: 8 C13 outlets (for computer and server power cords). Convertible form factor: mounts in a rack or stands as a tower. Quiet operation (40 dB). LCD display: it shows the load, battery level and remaining runtime at a glance — so you can monitor the UPS without any software. Ideal, for example, for a workstation, a small server or network hardware. Remember to check how much power your equipment draws and to choose the capacity according to the runtime you need.

Frequently asked questions about this product
How long does the Smart-UPS X 1000 run on battery?
24 minutes at 50% load, i.e. 400 W, and 14 minutes at 70%, i.e. 560 W. That is very comfortable for a 1000 VA unit, and a full recharge takes only 3 hours.
Can the Smart-UPS X 1000 be installed in a rack or as a tower?
Both: it is a convertible chassis 89 mm high and 432 mm wide, but above all 790 mm deep — that is the point to check, as few cabinets can take it.
Which outlets does the Smart-UPS X 1000 have?
Eight C13 outlets, the format used by computer and server power cords, with a C14 inlet and a 1.83 m cord. Make sure you have IEC cords for your machines.
Why does 1000 VA give only 800 W?
The power factor is 0.8: 800 W actually available. That is well above the 0.5 to 0.6 of desktop UPSs, but sizing is done in watts, never in VA.
Is the Smart-UPS X 1000 quiet?
Yes, it is rated at 40 dBA, which is low for a rack UPS. Allow for 22.9 kg: installation is a two-person job.
Over what voltage range does the AVR operate?
Between 160 and 286 V, at a frequency auto-sensed at 50 or 60 Hz ±3 Hz. The output is synchronised to the mains within the same tolerance.
How do you monitor the Smart-UPS X 1000?
Via a USB port and a SmartSlot for an optional network card. A multifunction LCD console on the front panel shows the UPS status, with no software needed.
Is the APC Smart-UPS X 1000 new and under warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document, for a period of 3 years. It delivers a pure sine wave, suited to power factor corrected power supplies. The datasheet covers the rest.
