Frequently asked questions about this product

Does the ROG Strix XG259CMS USB-C port carry video?
Yes, in DisplayPort Alt mode, and it charges the connected device at the same time. Asus does, however, recommend checking beforehand that your machine's USB-C port supports this mode; otherwise no image will be displayed.
Is the XG259CMS's 310 Hz available as standard?
It is stated with overclocking, to be enabled from the monitor's menu, on a Fast IPS panel specified at 1 ms grey-to-grey. Asus explains that its liquid crystals switch up to four times faster than on a conventional IPS panel.
What video inputs does the XG259CMS offer?
A DisplayPort 1.4 for high refresh rates, an HDMI 2.0 for consoles and the USB-C port in DisplayPort Alt mode. Three machines can therefore stay connected permanently.
What is the phone holder on this monitor's stand for?
To keep your phone in view on the base and charge it at the same time via the Type-C port. The stand also includes a tripod socket, useful for screwing on a live-streaming camera.
Is the XG259CMS stand height-adjustable?
Yes: the ergonomic stand offers tilt, swivel and height adjustment, and the monitor accepts a VESA mount for wall mounting. Its footprint remains small, which frees up space on the desk.
How good are the colours on the ROG Strix XG259CMS?
Its Fast IPS panel covers 110% of the sRGB colour space, and each monitor is factory-checked for colour accuracy. The monitor also supports HDR10, at Full HD resolution on 24.5 inches.
Is the Asus ROG Strix XG259CMS monitor new and under warranty?
Yes: a new product, in its original packaging, with a 1-year warranty. Your invoice serves as the warranty document; keep it with the box for any warranty claim.
