Frequently asked questions about this product

Does the Samsung Smart Monitor M8 work without a computer?
Yes: the Tizen platform is built in, with the included remote control, Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.2. Streaming, remote working and smart home control via SmartThings are available without connecting a PC.
Is the M8 webcam supplied with the monitor?
Yes: the magnetic SlimFit camera is included in the box, along with the HDMI cable, the USB Type-C cable and the remote control. It detaches in a single movement when not in use, which settles the privacy question.
Does the M8's USB-C port charge my laptop?
Yes: it carries the picture and delivers up to 65 W, enough to power an office laptop over the same cable. The USB Type-C cable is included, alongside the HDMI input and the three ports of the USB hub.
How good is the Samsung M8's 4K panel?
It is a 32-inch 4K UHD VA panel, with a static contrast ratio of 3000:1 and a brightness of 400 cd/m² — 300 at minimum. The refresh rate is 60 Hz and the response time 4 ms: an office and multimedia profile.
Does the Samsung M8 stand allow portrait mode?
Yes: 120 mm of height adjustment, tilt from -2° to +15° and pivot up to 92°. A VESA 100 x 100 mm wall mount is also supported; the panel is just 24.5 mm thick, and weighs 7 kg with the stand.
How much power does the Samsung Smart Monitor M8 use?
31.4 W in typical use and up to 140 W maximum, a ceiling that includes the 65 W sent to a charging laptop. The monitor takes up 713.4 mm in width and 200.1 mm in depth with its stand.
Is the Samsung Smart Monitor M8 M80F new and under warranty?
Yes: a new product, in its original packaging, with a 1-year warranty; your invoice serves as the warranty document. The box contains the SlimFit camera, the remote control, a 1.5 m HDMI cable and a USB Type-C cable.
