This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.
  • If the product cannot be repaired, the brand offers an exchange for another product.
  • If no product is available, a refund is issued as soon as the brand confirms it.

The warranty covers breakdowns occurring under normal use, as defined by the brand's terms. Product breakage (drop, impact, liquid…) is not covered, nor are certain consumable parts.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Why does this Ubiquiti module work in pairs?
Because it is a bidirectional (BiDi) module: it carries transmission and reception over a single fibre. You therefore need two complementary modules, with reversed wavelengths, one at each end.
How many fibre strands does this module need?
Just one, with a simplex LC connector. That is the whole point of bidirectional: halving the number of strands needed on existing infrastructure.
What type of fibre does this Ubiquiti module need?
Single-mode fibre. It differs from multimode by a much longer reach — it is the choice for links between sites, not for links within a building.
Is this module compatible with my equipment?
It is listed as compatible with Ubiquiti equipment with an SFP slot. On a switch from another brand, check the compatibility list: some manufacturers lock their ports.
What speed does this Ubiquiti optical module deliver?
1 Gbps, i.e. a Gigabit Ethernet link over a single strand of single-mode fibre.
Is this Ubiquiti optical module new and under warranty?
Yes, it is a new Ubiquiti product, reference UACC-OM-SM-1G-S-2. The invoice serves as the warranty document, for 1 year. Keep it in case a defect is found.
