1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.
  • If the product cannot be repaired, the brand offers an exchange for another product.

The HP ProCurve Gigabit-LX-LC Mini J4859CST transceiver provides reliable 1 GbE connectivity over optical fibre for 1000BASE-LX networks, over distances of up to 10 km (6.2 mi). Compatible with HPE® switches and routers, this module transmits data at up to 1.25 Gbps through an LC connector. Its digital diagnostics monitoring (DDM) feature allows effective monitoring. Convenient and installable without network downtime, it comes with a lifetime warranty and free multilingual technical support. Ideal for replacing faulty SFP modules or extending your network to remote segments.

Frequently asked questions about this product

How far can this HP ProCurve transceiver reach?
Up to 10 km over single-mode fibre, and up to 550 m over multimode fibre. The reach therefore depends entirely on the fibre already installed: that is the first thing to check.
Which Ethernet standard does this HP module follow?
1000BASE-LX, compliant with the IEEE 802.3z standard, for a data rate of 1.25 Gbps in full duplex. Full duplex means that transmission and reception happen simultaneously, without sharing bandwidth.
Which equipment is this module compatible with?
It is stated to be compatible with HPE switches and routers. On equipment from another brand, check the compatibility list: SFP ports are often locked to the manufacturer.
Can the status of the optical link be monitored?
Yes: digital diagnostics monitoring (DDM) lets you track the module’s optical power and temperature. That is what makes a failure predictable.
Does the network have to be interrupted to fit this module?
No: it installs without interrupting the network. That is what lets you replace a faulty module or extend the network to a remote segment in the middle of the working day.
