1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.

Frequently asked questions about this product

How far can this Ruijie 1G transceiver reach?
Up to 550 metres over multimode fibre, at a wavelength of 850 nm. That is the typical reach of a link between two buildings on the same site.
Will this SFP module fit any switch?
It complies with the IEEE 802.3z, SFP MSA and SFF-8472 standards — the specifications manufacturers follow. Still, check your switch’s compatibility list: some manufacturers lock their ports.
Do I need to turn off the switch to install this module?
No: it is hot-pluggable and hot-swappable. The module can be changed with the switch running, without cutting the other links in the chassis.
Can the status of the optical link be monitored?
Yes: DDM digital optical monitoring reports transmit power, receive power, temperature and voltage. That is what lets you spot a degrading fibre before the link goes down.
How reliable is this module’s transmission?
The stated bit error rate is 1E-12, i.e. one error per trillion bits transmitted. The module uses a VCSEL transmitter and a PIN receiver, and meets Class 1 laser safety requirements.
How much power does this SFP transceiver draw?
1.5 W maximum, for a data rate of 1.25 Gbps. On a switch fitted with several modules, this is the figure to multiply when sizing the power supply.
What temperature range does this module operate in?
From 0 to 70 °C. This is the standard commercial range, intended for an equipment room, not for an outdoor cabinet exposed to frost.
Is this Ruijie 1000BASE-SX transceiver new and under warranty?
