1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.

Designed for data centres and campus networks, this transceiver provides stable transmission up to 10 km over single-mode fibre (SMF) at 1310 nm. Its low power consumption (1.5 W max) makes it efficient and cost-effective. SFP+ MSA compliant, it is hot-pluggable and supports digital optical monitoring (DOM) for easier management. Frequently asked questions about this product

How far can this Ruijie 10G transceiver reach?
Up to 10 km, over single-mode fibre, at a wavelength of 1,310 nm. That is what sets an LR module apart from an SR module, which is limited to a few hundred metres.
What does the LR designation of this module mean?
LR stands for Long Reach: it is the long-range variant of 10 Gigabit Ethernet, designed for single-mode fibre, as opposed to SR, which is reserved for multimode.
Will this SFP+ module fit any switch?
It complies with the IEEE 802.3ae, SFF-8431 and SFP+ MSA standards, the specifications manufacturers follow. Still, check your switch’s compatibility list: some manufacturers lock their ports.
Do I need to turn off the switch to install this module?
No: it supports hot insertion and hot swapping. The module can be changed with the switch running, without cutting the other links.
Can the status of the optical link be monitored?
Yes: DOM/DDM digital optical diagnostics report transmit power, receive power, temperature and voltage. That is what lets you see a fibre degrading before the link goes down.
How reliable is this module’s transmission?
The stated bit error rate is 1E-12, i.e. one error per trillion bits. The module uses a DFB transmitter and a PIN receiver, and draws 1.5 W maximum.
What temperature range does this module operate in?
From 0 to 70 °C. This is the standard commercial range: it covers an air-conditioned server room, not an outdoor cabinet exposed to frost.
Is this Ruijie 10GBASE-LR transceiver new and under warranty?
