This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

Frequently asked questions about this product

How far can this Ruijie 10G transceiver reach?
300 metres over OM3 fibre and 400 metres over OM4. The reach therefore depends on the type of fibre already installed: that is what you need to check before ordering.
Will this SFP module fit any switch?
It complies with the SFP+ MSA, IEEE 802.3ae and SFF-8431 standards — the specifications switch manufacturers follow. Still, check your equipment’s compatibility list: some manufacturers lock their ports.
Do I need to turn off the switch to install this module?
No: it supports hot insertion and hot swapping. The module can be changed with the switch running, without interrupting the other links.
Can the status of the optical link be monitored?
Yes: the module features DDM/DOM digital optical monitoring. It reports transmit power, receive power, temperature and voltage — enough to diagnose a dirty fibre before the link goes down.
Which fibre connector does this module need?
An LC duplex connector with UPC polish — two strands, one for transmit and one for receive. The wavelength is 850 nm, the one used for multimode fibre.
How much power does this SFP+ transceiver draw?
1.5 W maximum. On a switch fitted with twenty-four modules, the total consumption of the optics is calculated from this figure.
What temperature range does this module operate in?
From 0 to 70 °C. This is the standard commercial range: it covers an air-conditioned server room, not an outdoor cabinet exposed to frost.
Is this Ruijie 10GBASE-SR transceiver new and under warranty?
