What impedances and voltages does the U60:1M amplifier support?
4 ohms, 8 ohms, 70 V and 100 V, selected by DIP switch. The 100 V line is the one used for a building's public address installation; 4 or 8 ohms is for conventional loudspeakers.
How many inputs does the U60:1M amplifier offer?
Four: two mic/line inputs with switchable 48 V phantom power, and two auxiliary inputs, plus an EMG emergency input. Phantom power is what a condenser microphone requires.
What does the VOX Ducking function do?
It automatically lowers the background music as soon as a voice announcement is detected, then brings it back up. This is what makes the message audible without anyone having to adjust the volume.
What is the EMG input on this amplifier for?
For putting a critical message through with priority over everything else. It can also trigger a two-tone chime before the announcement, to draw attention.
What are the high-pass filters on the U60:1M for?
For cutting out low-frequency noise — breath noise, handling noise, room hum. Two frequencies are offered, 70 Hz and 120 Hz, the latter with a slope of 12 dB per octave.
How much rack space does the U60:1M amplifier take up?
One unit high by half a unit wide: 218 × 217.7 mm and 44.2 mm high, 2.53 kg. Two amplifiers mounted side by side fit into a single rack unit.
Can this amplifier be installed somewhere other than in a rack?
Yes: the supplied brackets cover single or double rack mounting, and Bosch also approves desktop or under-counter installation.

100 VA in operation, and 0.60 W in standby when remote power-on remains active. The output stage is Class D, rated at 60 W.
