Frequently asked questions about this product

Does the Jabra Evolve 20 connect via USB-C or USB-A?
Both: this reference is supplied with the adapter that covers both ports, so it can move from a recent laptop to an older desktop. The headset is recognised as soon as it is plugged in, with nothing to install.
Why choose the mono version of the Evolve 20?
Because it leaves one ear free: you follow your call without cutting yourself off from the office, which matters at reception or in a team where people call out to each other. It is rated at 104 g with its controller, against 132 g for the stereo version.
What can you do from the in-line control unit?
Answer and end calls, mute the mic and adjust the volume, without leaving the window open on screen. This unit also carries the busy light, visible to your colleagues.
Does the Evolve 20 mic filter out office noise?
Yes, it is a unidirectional electret condenser mic: it picks up what comes from the front — your voice — and rejects what comes from the sides. The person you are talking to hears the conversation, not the room.
How long is the cable of this headset?
2.15 m, including the control unit: enough to reach a tower on the floor while keeping the control unit within reach on the desk.
Can the headset also be used to listen to music between calls?
Its 28 mm speaker covers 20 Hz to 20 kHz in music mode, against 150 Hz to 7 kHz in voice mode. It is a mono headset: you listen with one ear only, so it remains an occasional use.
What do the Evolve 20 MS indicator lights show?
The busy light, an incoming call and Microsoft Teams notifications — the last of these being specific to the MS versions, such as this one.
How does this headset protect your hearing over a day of calls?
With PeakStop, which complies with the European directive on noise at work and with the G616 recommendation against unexpected acoustic shocks.
