Frequently asked questions about this product

Do you need to install anything before using this Evolve 20?
No: it is ready to use on PC and Mac alike. Plug in the supplied USB-C or USB-A adapter and the headset is recognised as an audio device, with no driver or setup.
Where are the volume and microphone mute controlled?
On the in-line control unit on the cable: answer and end calls, mute the microphone and adjust the volume. It is instant, with no need to hunt for the matching button in the calling software.
Why only one ear cup on this model?
To stay aware of what is happening in the office during calls: you can hear the team, a colleague walking up, the phone at the next desk. It is the most common format in shared departments.
What exactly does the mic boom pick up?
It carries a unidirectional electret condenser microphone: it targets the mouth and rejects what comes from elsewhere. The open-plan hubbub stays on your side of the conversation.
Can this headset also be used to listen to music?
Yes: its 28 mm speaker covers 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz in music mode, against 150 Hz to 7,000 Hz in voice mode. The sound therefore adapts to what you are doing.
How long is the cable between the headset and the computer?
2.15 m, controller included: enough to connect a tower sitting on the floor and push your chair back without unplugging. The stated weight, 104 g, includes this control unit.
How do colleagues know I am on a call?
Through the built-in busylight, which lights up during the call. The same lights signal an incoming call and, depending on the reference, Microsoft Teams notifications.
What is in the box of this Evolve 20 mono?
The headset, the USB controller — the call control unit — and the user documentation. Nothing else is needed to set it up on a workstation.
Is your hearing protected during calls?
Yes, by PeakStop, which clips sound peaks, and by compliance with European regulations on noise at work and the G616 standard.
Is this Jabra Evolve 20 Mono UC new and under warranty?
Yes, new in its original Jabra packaging, USB controller included. Your invoice serves as the warranty document and covers 1 year for reference 4993-829-269.
