Frequently asked questions about this product

Can this Evolve 30 II be connected to anything other than a PC?
Yes: besides USB-C or USB-A for the computer, it has a 3.5 mm jack for a phone or tablet. A single headset covers both uses, with nothing to install.
What difference in weight does the call controller make?
The mono headset weighs 63 g on its own; the control unit and the cable add their weight at the end of the wire, not on your head. It is the first figure that determines comfort over the hours.
Where are calls managed on this model?
On the control unit built into the cable: volume, microphone mute and answering calls. You keep your hands on the keyboard and your eyes on the screen.
How does the mic boom perform in an open-plan office?
It is a unidirectional electret condenser microphone, aimed at your mouth: it filters out ambient noise to transmit only your voice, even when the floor is busy.
Is the sound also suitable for music between calls?
Yes: the 28 mm speaker covers 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz in music mode and 150 Hz to 7,000 Hz in voice mode. The frequency response goes well beyond what telephony needs.
Is this headset easy to carry around?
Yes, a travel pouch is supplied with the headset and its controller. The cable measures 2.15 m, which leaves some slack once it is set up at the workstation.
How do you let colleagues know you are on a call?
The headset's busylight lights up during the call and can be seen from the next desk. The same lights indicate an incoming call and, depending on the reference, Microsoft Teams notifications.
Which platforms is this model compatible with?
With Zoom, Avaya, Unify and Alcatel-Lucent — the most widespread business telephony systems, with no additional software to install.
Is your ear protected from sound peaks?
Yes, by PeakStop and Jabra SafeTone: peaks are clipped before they reach the ear, which matters when the headset stays on for several hours at a stretch.
Is this Jabra Evolve 30 II Mono UC new and under warranty?
