What does the IPX7 rating of the JBL GO Essential mean?
That it withstands temporary immersion in water: pool, rain, sink. The X, on the other hand, indicates that dust resistance has not been rated — a nuance worth knowing before taking it onto sand.
How long does the GO Essential play on a single charge?
Up to 5 hours, with a full recharge in 2 h 30. It is a secondary speaker for an outing or an evening, to be recharged afterwards like a phone.
What cable do you need to charge the JBL GO Essential?
A micro-USB cable, not USB-C. Keep the original one: this is the connector used by this speaker, and it is less common than the one on recent phones.
What does a 3.1 W, 177-gram speaker deliver?
Mono sound from a 40 mm speaker driver, covering 180 Hz to 20 kHz. The range starts at 180 Hz: vocals and midrange come through well, but deep bass is not part of the deal in this pocket format.
How much space does this speaker take up in a bag?
