1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.
  • If the product cannot be repaired, the brand offers an exchange for another product.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Does the Shure MVX2U power a condenser mic?
Yes, it provides 48 V phantom power. Without it, a condenser mic stays silent whatever the gain applied — and it is what sets this adapter apart from a simple XLR-to-USB cable.
Does the Shure MVX2U have enough gain for an SM7B?
Yes: up to +60 dB. This is precisely where most entry-level interfaces fall short — a low-sensitivity dynamic mic like the SM7B needs plenty of clean gain, otherwise the hiss rises along with the voice.
Can you monitor yourself while recording with the Shure MVX2U?
Yes, through a 3.5 mm headphone jack that provides zero-latency monitoring and playback. Hearing yourself live, without the delay of monitoring through the computer, is what makes a long vocal session manageable.
Do you have to set the gain yourself on the Shure MVX2U?
No, an Auto Level mode takes care of it. A manual mode is still available in the ShurePlus MOTIV app, with gain, limiter, compressor and EQ — two levels of use in the same device.
Does the Shure MVX2U work with any XLR mic?
It is designed to connect any XLR mic, dynamic or condenser, to a computer. That is its purpose: keeping an existing studio mic while doing without a full audio interface.
How does the Shure MVX2U fit into a setup?
Its compact design lets you screw it onto the end of the mic or place it inline on a cable. Two possible positions: as close as possible to the capsule to limit the length of analogue cable, or within reach to access the settings.
Is a cable supplied with the Shure MVX2U?
Yes, a one-metre USB-C to USB-C cable. It is stated to be compatible with Mac and Windows: the computer recognises it as an audio input, with no driver to install.
Is the Shure MVX2U adapter new and under warranty?
New, reference MVX2U, in original Shure packaging, cable included. The invoice serves as the warranty document for 1 year. Keep it: it is the document that will be requested if you make a claim.
