What video inputs does the MSI PRO MP242 E14A offer?
Three: an HDMI 2.0b rated for Full HD at 144 Hz, a DisplayPort 1.2a and a VGA port, plus a headphone output. The monitor therefore accepts a recent machine as readily as an older computer, and the HDMI cable is included.
My laptop only has a USB-C output: can I connect the MP242 E14A?
The picture comes in through HDMI, DisplayPort or VGA. From a laptop whose only video output is USB-C, you therefore need an adapter to one of these formats, after first checking that the USB-C port supports video on your machine.
Does the MP242 E14A have built-in speakers?
Yes, two 2 W speakers, enough to follow a video conference or a video without adding speakers. A headphone output is also present on the monitor, so you can switch over without going round the computer.
How good are the colours of the MP242 E14A's panel?

Two different measurements: 1 ms MPRT, which assesses the blur perceived on a moving image, and 4 ms grey-to-grey, which times a pixel's transition from one shade to another. The second is the more demanding; both figures are accurate.
Is the MP242 E14A compatible with adaptive sync?
Yes, it supports Adaptive-Sync between 48 and 144 Hz: the refresh rate follows the frame rate produced by the graphics card, which eliminates screen tearing when that frame rate varies.
Is the MSI MP242 E14A stand height-adjustable?
No: only the tilt can be adjusted, from -5° to +20°. A VESA 100 x 100 mm mount remains possible for a monitor arm or a wall bracket, with the monitor weighing just 3.1 kg.
