What is the Smartgain feature of the Audient EVO 4 for?
To set the input level automatically for the voice or instrument. You speak for a few seconds and the interface sets the gain on its own. This removes the step where a beginner clips a recording without realising it.
How many inputs and outputs does the Audient EVO 4 have?
Two inputs and two outputs. The inputs are XLR/6.35 mm jack combo sockets that accept a microphone or a high-impedance instrument; the outputs are two 6.35 mm TRS plus a headphone output.
How is the Audient EVO 4 controlled?
With a single multifunction encoder that handles volume, gain and headphones. One knob for everything: the front panel stays uncluttered, and there is no pot to hunt for when you need to turn the level down quickly.
What conversion quality does the Audient EVO 4 offer?
24-bit at 96 kHz, with Audient signature studio preamps — the same ones as on the brand's consoles. The 24 bits set the available dynamic range, and the preamp sets the noise floor at high gain.
Does the Audient EVO 4 need a power adapter?
No, it is USB bus-powered, with no power adapter. A single cable is all it needs to run, which makes it usable on the move, with a laptop as well as a tablet.
Which devices does the Audient EVO 4 work with?
Mac, Windows 10 and later, as well as iPad and iPhone via USB-C. The box contains a USB-C to USB-A cable and the quick start guide.
Is the Audient EVO 4 interface new and under warranty?
New, in original Audient packaging, designed in the UK. The invoice serves as the warranty document for 1 year. Keep it: it is the document you will be asked for if you make a claim.
