Can you have 4K and 320 Hz at the same time?
No, it is a dual mode: either 3840 × 2160 at 160 Hz for image sharpness, or 1920 × 1080 at 320 Hz for competitive gaming. You switch from one to the other depending on the game you launch, as the two settings cannot be combined.
Does the monitor have built-in speakers?
No: no speakers, no microphone and no webcam. A 3.5 mm audio jack output is provided at the back for connecting headphones or active speakers: plan for your own audio setup, as none is included.
Which cables are supplied in the box?
The monitor arrives mounted on its stand, with a 1.8 m DisplayPort cable, a 1.8 m power cord, 4 screws, the quick setup guide and the warranty booklet. For an HDMI connection — a console or a second machine — you will need your own HDMI 2.1 cable.
Can it be mounted on a wall or on a desk arm?
Yes: VESA 100 × 100 mm mounting is supported, and the panel alone weighs 4.1 kg once the stand is removed, compared with 6.2 kg with it. Simply check that your arm or wall mount accepts this weight and this hole pattern.
Is the stand height-adjustable, and can the monitor be used in portrait mode?
Yes to both. The stand offers tilt, swivel, portrait rotation and height adjustment. Between the lowest and highest positions, the overall height goes from 394.2 to 529.2 mm, i.e. 135 mm of travel — enough to align the top of the screen with your eye line without a monitor riser.
Is there an external power brick, and how much power does the monitor draw?
The power supply is built into the monitor: a simple mains cord is all you need, with no power brick to find room for under the desk. Power consumption is 26 W in typical use and 43 W maximum, with a European energy class of F.
Which output does my PC need to take advantage of 4K at 160 Hz?
3840 × 2160 at 160 Hz goes through the HDMI 2.1 ports, which handle this resolution thanks to FRL 6 Gbps: your graphics card must have an HDMI 2.1 output, and you need a cable of that standard. The monitor also has a DisplayPort 1.4 (HBR3) port, and its 1.8 m cable is supplied.
Can you connect a games console to it?
Yes: games console support is explicitly provided, and the monitor has two HDMI 2.1 ports — enough to keep a PC connected via DisplayPort and a console on each HDMI port, without unplugging anything. Both HDMI ports support FRL 6 Gbps, i.e. 3840 × 2160 at 160 Hz.
G-Sync or FreeSync: which one works with my graphics card?
Both are supported, as is VESA Adaptive Sync. Note, however, that FreeSync Premium is only active with an AMD Radeon card; NVIDIA cards use G-SYNC Compatible mode. It is then enabled in your machine's graphics driver.
What is the advertised 0.5 ms response time really worth?
The 0.5 ms is an MPRT measurement, obtained at the most aggressive setting. The monitor offers four overdrive levels, measured at 1, 2, 3 and 4 ms: you choose the level according to the game and how sensitive it is to motion blur, rather than leaving it on the most aggressive value by default.
Is this monitor also suitable for photo retouching or video editing?
Its IPS panel covers 99% of sRGB and 95% of DCI-P3, with 16.7 million colours and 178° viewing angles: it can be used for retouching and editing. Bear in mind its contrast ratio of 1000:1 and brightness of 300 cd/m², with HDR10 support.
Isn't text too small in 4K on a 27-inch diagonal?
Pixel density reaches 163 pixels per inch, double that of a 27-inch Full HD screen: without scaling, text looks small. The monitor is listed as compatible with Windows 10 and 11, whose display scaling solves this in a few clicks.
Is it comfortable for long sessions in front of the screen?
It combines three verifiable features: Eyesafe Display 2.0 certification, a hardware-based TÜV blue light filter and an anti-glare coating on the panel. Its 1.1 mm side bezels also reduce the visual break in a dual-monitor setup.
Is the Lenovo Legion 27U-10 monitor new, and how long is the warranty?
It is new, in its original packaging, supplied with its warranty booklet, its setup guide and its invoice, which serves as the certificate for the 2-year warranty. Full specifications are given in the datasheet (PDF).
