Frequently asked questions about this product

Is a charging cable supplied with the beige JBL Tune 730BT?
No: JBL states it explicitly, the charging cable is not included. The box contains the headphones, the warranty booklet and the start guide. Plan for a USB-C cable: the power input is 5 V, so your phone's cable will do.
How many hours of listening and talk time do these headphones offer?
Up to 76 hours of music but 45 hours of talk time: two different figures, and the second is the one that counts when working remotely. A full charge takes about 2 hours, and 5 minutes give you 5 hours.
Can the Tune 730BT handle two devices at the same time?
Yes, the multipoint connection keeps the tablet and the phone paired together, switching from one device to the other. The link uses Bluetooth 6.0, stated to offer lower latency and lower power consumption.
Can you choose a bass-heavier or more vocal sound?
Yes, the JBL Headphones app offers three presets: Default for an overall balance, Bass to boost the low end, Vocal to bring voices forward. A voice prompt announces the selected mode.
How do the mics perform during a call?
Two beamforming mics are built into the ear cups: they pick up speech in line with the mouth and reduce the noise picked up around it. Their sensitivity is rated at -40 dBV/Pa at 1 kHz.
Is pairing easy on Android or Windows?
Yes: the headphones support Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair. On Android or on Windows 10 and 11, just switch them on and follow the prompt that appears, without opening the Bluetooth settings.
Do the ear cushions really surround the ear?
Yes, the design is over-ear: the inner opening measures 60 × 42.5 mm, enough to leave the outer ear inside rather than pressing on it. The pressure rests on the area around the ear, under a light, padded headband.
Do the beige headphones fold up for travel?
Yes, they fold flat and weigh 218 g. Once folded, they take up no more than the thickness of a book in a bag, and the padded headband regains its shape as soon as you put them back on your head.
Does this model have active noise cancelling?
No, no active cancelling. Attenuation comes from the closed seal of the cushions around the ear, and the beamforming mics act on what the person you are talking to hears, not on what you hear.
How good are the 40 mm drivers of this Tune 730BT?
They are 40 mm dynamic drivers, a large diaphragm that moves enough air to deliver the Pure Bass signature. They cover 20 Hz to 20 kHz, with an impedance of 32 ohms and a sensitivity of 97 dB SPL.
Are the beige JBL Tune 730BT headphones new and under warranty?
