Does the Omada OC220 controller need a power outlet?
Not necessarily: it can be powered via PoE 802.3af/at, i.e. through the network cable, or via micro-USB at 5 V. In a rack already fitted with a PoE switch, this saves one power outlet and one power adapter.
Do you need a subscription for cloud access with the Omada OC220 controller?
No, cloud access is free and subscription-free, through the Omada app or a web browser. 100% local management remains possible, for those who prefer nothing to leave the company network.
