1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.
  • If the product cannot be repaired, the brand offers an exchange for another product.
  • If no product is available, a refund is issued as soon as the brand confirms it.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Does this router have a built-in modem so it can connect directly to the fibre or ADSL line?
No, its WAN port only accepts Gigabit Ethernet: it connects behind the modem or ONT already supplied by the ISP; it does not replace it. It then handles WiFi and wired distribution to all the devices in the home.
Is the advertised 3.6 Gbps WiFi 7 speed what you actually get at home?
It is the maximum theoretical combined speed of both bands (688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, 2,882 Mbps on 5 GHz) derived from the 802.11be standard. The speed actually achieved then depends on the connected device, the distance and network conditions, as with any WiFi.
Can the WiFi coverage be extended later without replacing everything?
Yes, the Archer BE220 is EasyMesh-compatible: simply add another EasyMesh-compatible router or range extender to expand the network under a single WiFi name, with automatic roaming between access points.
Can I create a separate WiFi network for guests?
Yes, a guest network is available on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, isolated from the main home network.
Are parental controls and HomeShield protection included, or is an extra plan required?
The HomeShield Basic plan (parental controls, network scanner, malicious website blocking) is included at no cost. A more comprehensive Pro plan is available as an option, reserved for advanced features.
Can I set up a VPN to access my home remotely, or only to connect out through one?
Both are possible: a VPN server (OpenVPN, PPTP, L2TP, WireGuard) lets you connect to your home network from outside, and a VPN client routes all the devices in the home through an external VPN service without configuring them one by one.
Do I need WiFi 7 devices to benefit from this router, or does it work with older hardware?
It remains compatible with all previous WiFi generations (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac), so an older smartphone or PC connects to it normally. The maximum BE3600 speed, however, is only achieved with a client device that is itself WiFi 7-compatible.
Can this router be used as a simple access point rather than as the main router?
Yes, it offers an access point mode in addition to its usual router mode, useful for integrating it into an existing network setup.
Can the router serve several devices at once without one slowing down the others?
It combines 2×2 MU-MIMO and OFDMA to communicate with several devices simultaneously rather than in turn, backed by airtime fairness technology that prevents a slower device from monopolising the network.
Does this router work with Alexa or Google Home?
Yes, it integrates with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, in addition to its dedicated TP-Link Tether app for setup and day-to-day management.
Is this router new, and what warranty does it come with?
Yes, it is a new product, sold with its purchase invoice, which serves as the warranty document. The commercial warranty is 1 year from the date of purchase.
