Frequently asked questions about this product

What Wi-Fi speeds does the TP-Link Archer AX53 AX3000 router offer?

It is a dual-band Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) AX3000 router: up to 2,402 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and 574 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band, for a combined throughput of nearly 3 Gbps.

Is the Archer AX53 still compatible with my older Wi-Fi devices?

Yes. While taking advantage of Wi-Fi 6, it remains backward compatible with the 802.11a/b/g/n/ac standards, and therefore with your older equipment.

How many Ethernet ports does the Archer AX53 have, and are they Gigabit?

It has 1 Gigabit WAN port + 4 Gigabit LAN ports, all at 10/100/1000 Mbps, to make full use of a fibre connection.

Can you extend the Archer AX53's Wi-Fi coverage throughout the home?

Yes. It supports OneMesh networking: pair it with another OneMesh device to form a mesh network with no drop-outs or latency as you move around. Its 4 antennas and Beamforming already provide wide coverage.

Does the Archer AX53 router have a built-in VPN server?

Yes, a feature people often look for: it has a built-in OpenVPN and PPTP VPN server, for secure access to your network from outside.

Does the Archer AX53 offer parental controls and a guest network?

Yes. It offers parental controls, a guest network (2.4 and 5 GHz) and HomeShield security services with network protection and QoS.

How do you set up the Archer AX53?

Setup is done via the Tether app (Android/iOS) or the intuitive web interface, with the WPS button for connecting your devices quickly.

Can the Archer AX53 handle many connected devices at the same time?

Yes. Thanks to OFDMA, MU-MIMO and 1024-QAM, it transmits data to several devices simultaneously and reduces latency in heavily connected environments (4K streaming, remote working, gaming, smart devices).

What is the HE160 feature of the Archer AX53 for?

HE160 doubles the bandwidth on the 5 GHz band for 8K streaming and very fast downloads. Note: the 160 MHz channel width may be unavailable in some regions due to regulatory restrictions, and requires compatible devices.

What level of security does the Archer AX53 offer?

It supports the latest WPA3 protocol (as well as WPA/WPA2-Personal and WPA/WPA2-Enterprise), with an SPI firewall and IP/MAC binding to protect your network.

Is a network cable included with the Archer AX53?

Yes. The box contains the Archer AX53 router, its power adapter, an RJ45 Ethernet cable and the quick installation guide.

Is the TP-Link Archer AX53 router new and under warranty?

Yes, it is new and genuine, and your invoice serves as a 1-year warranty. You can view the full datasheet.
