Noise stays out, even on a call
Noise cancellation does not stop when you pick up a call: Jabra Advanced ANC adapts to how the headset fits and to the ambient noise, and keeps working throughout the conversation. On the microphone side, ClearVoice processing, trained through deep learning, separates your voice from the background chatter, and a dedicated filter deals with wind. Sidetone works at the same time as ANC, so you hear yourself speak and do not raise your voice. To exchange a few words with a colleague, HearThrough mode lets outside sound in without taking the headset off.
Set down at night, charged by morning
This part number ships with the wireless charging pad: just set the headset down on it, no cable to look for. A full charge takes up to 180 minutes, half the battery comes back in 30 minutes, and a ten-minute fast charge gives up to ten hours of music. The USB-C port remains available for charging elsewhere. The lithium-ion battery is user-replaceable: when it wears out, you change the battery, not the headset.
The wireless charging pad is included in the box of part number 38599-999-889.
It folds flat into its pouch
The ear cups swivel flat and the headset slips into the included carry pouch. The frame combines sliding arms in recycled aluminium, a headband in recycled stainless steel and plastics from recycled and bio-circular sources; the dual-density foam ear cushions are covered in a breathable fabric.
A button for Teams, a light for everyone else
The MS version has a dedicated Microsoft Teams button to join a meeting with one press, and its light relays Teams notifications. The Busylight glows all around the headset during a call, visible from every side. With multipoint Bluetooth, the computer and the smartphone stay connected at the same time, and eight devices can be remembered; headsets are managed and updated remotely with Jabra Plus, and Jabra Direct and Jabra Xpress are also supported.

Frequently asked questions about this product
Does the supplied adapter plug into a USB-A port?
No: part number 38599-999-889 ships with the Jabra Link 390 Bluetooth adapter in USB-C. On a computer without a USB-C port, the headset connects via native Bluetooth or with the included 3.5 mm jack audio cable. Jabra also offers the Evolve3 85 MS with a USB-A adapter, under another part number.
Does the headset have a boom microphone?
No. The Evolve3 85 picks up your voice with six digital MEMS microphones built into the ear cups, with no boom arm. Jabra ClearVoice processing, based on deep learning, isolates your voice from ambient noise during calls, and wind noise reduction completes the system.
How long does the battery last?
Up to 25 hours of talk time without ANC or Busylight, 21 hours with both. For music, up to 120 hours without ANC and 55 hours with it. A full charge takes up to 180 minutes, and a 10-minute fast charge gives up to 10 hours of listening.
How is the headset charged?
In two ways: with a USB-C cable, or by placing it on the wireless charging pad supplied with this part number. The battery reaches up to 50% in 30 minutes and 80% in 60 minutes, and it is user-replaceable.
Is it certified for Microsoft Teams?
Yes. This is the MS version: it has a dedicated Microsoft Teams button and its light shows Teams notifications. The headset is also certified for Zoom and Google Meet, and is managed with Jabra Plus, Jabra Direct and Jabra Xpress software.
Can it be connected to a computer and a smartphone at the same time?
Yes, thanks to multipoint Bluetooth: two simultaneous connections, with up to eight devices remembered. The range reaches 30 m, over Bluetooth 5.3 with LE Audio support.
Does it block out open-plan office noise?
Yes. Jabra Advanced ANC active noise cancellation adapts to how the headset fits and to your surroundings, and it stays on during calls. HearThrough mode lets you hear colleagues without taking the headset off, and the 360° Busylight lights up during calls so you are not disturbed.
Charges by induction and folds flat to fit in a bag. Stereo with hybrid active noise cancelling, with a ClearVoice boom mic, a dedicated Microsoft Teams button and a busylight visible through 360°.
