Frequently asked questions about this product
Can Windows 11 be installed on this Dell Pro Micro supplied with Ubuntu?
Yes. Dell certifies the Pro Micro QCM1250 for Windows 11 Home and Windows 11 Pro as well as Ubuntu. The Windows licence is not included: it is bought separately, then installed on the 512 GB NVMe SSD. For a company workstation joined to a domain, choose the Pro edition.
Does this mini PC connect over Wi-Fi?
Yes: it includes an Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX211 2x2 card working on the 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz bands, together with Bluetooth 5.3 for a headset or wireless peripherals. The Gigabit Ethernet port remains available at the rear for a wired connection to the company network.
Can a second SSD be added to such a small case?
Yes: the Pro Micro QCM1250 has two M.2 2230/2280 slots for PCIe SSDs. To move to dual SSD, Dell requires heatsinks on both drives, sold separately. The original 512 GB SSD, in 2230 format, remains the boot drive.
How many monitors can I connect to the Pro Micro QCM1250?
Two directly, on the DisplayPort 1.4a output (up to 5120 x 3200 at 60 Hz) and the HDMI 2.1 output (up to 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz). With MST-compatible monitors daisy-chained over DisplayPort, the Intel graphics drive up to 4, enough to turn this mini PC into a multi-monitor workstation.
What is the power draw of the Core Ultra 5 235T processor?
35 W, compared with 65 W for a tower's Core Ultra 5 235. This T version keeps 14 cores boosting up to 5.0 GHz and 24 MB of cache, but runs cooler: that is what lets the Pro Micro fit in 36 x 178 x 182 mm and stay discreet on a desk or counter.
Are the keyboard and mouse included with this mini PC?
Yes. The Pro Micro QCM1250 comes with the Dell KB216 wired keyboard and the Dell MS116 wired optical mouse. It is powered by an external power adapter; on the front, a 10 Gbps USB-C port, a 5 Gbps USB-A port and a headset jack stay within easy reach.
