Frequently asked questions about this product

Does the Jabra Biz 2300 USB plug straight into the computer?
Yes, this is the USB version: it plugs straight into the computer, with no QD cord or adapter, and has an in-line control unit on the cord for volume, mute and calls.
What does “Microsoft Lync” in the name of this headset mean?
It is the version optimised for the Microsoft environment — Lync being the former name of Skype for Business, which has since become Microsoft Teams. The headset is therefore tuned for that platform rather than for compatibility with several tools.
Can the cord stand up to contact centre use?
It is Kevlar-reinforced, designed for heavy use, chair castors and sharp objects, and measures 235 cm. It is the part that gives way first on a call-floor headset.
Is the mic boom likely to break from being turned so often?
It rotates through 360° without risk of breaking, thanks to the FreeSpin system. The headband and the boom are adjustable, so there is no need to force the hinge at every shift change.
What happens if a sudden loud sound reaches your ear?
PeakStop technology filters out all sounds above 118 dB before they reach your ear. At a desk where calls come one after another, this is the protection that matters, because you cannot choose what comes down the line.
What is the Air Shock microphone on this headset?
It is the noise-cancelling microphone that filters out breath noise and sudden sounds typical of close-up conversation — breathing, popping consonants. The ear cups, for their part, reduce the ambient noise on your side.
How much does the whole unit weigh, including the cord and control unit?
115 g with the cord and the control unit. The ear cushions combine foam and faux leather, on an adjustable headband designed for full days of calls.
Can this headset also be used to listen to music?
Yes. Jabra states wideband HD Voice sound for calls and HiFi sound for music — two distinct settings depending on what the headset is playing.
Is this Jabra Biz 2300 USB Duo new and under warranty?
