How long does the BVX900LI run on battery?
9 minutes at 50% load, i.e. 240 W, and 5 minutes at 70%, i.e. 336 W. A full recharge then takes 8 hours.
Are the four outlets on the BVX900LI battery-backed?
Yes, the four C13 outlets are powered by the battery and protected against surges. Input is via a C14 inlet: you will need IEC cords for your machines.
How much load can this 900 VA unit really take?
480 W. It is this wattage that you must compare with your equipment — a computer and its peripherals — and not the stated 900 VA, which is apparent power.
How much space does the BVX900LI take up, and can it be rack-mounted?
35.5 cm deep and 16 cm high, weighing 6 kg. It stands on the floor thanks to its mounting bracket, but is not rack-mountable: it is a tower format intended for a workstation.
Is the BVX900LI quiet enough for an office?
Yes, it is rated at 40 dBA, which makes it suitable for an office, a business or a home environment. It is a level you can hear in a very quiet room, but it does not disturb a conversation.
What does the BVX900LI's AVR regulator correct?
It stabilises the input voltage without drawing on the battery, which preserves it for real power cuts. The input frequency is detected automatically as 50 or 60 Hz ±5 Hz, with the output synchronised to ±1 Hz.
Is the APC Easy UPS BVX900LI new and under warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document, for a period of 2 years. It is a line-interactive model: it regulates the voltage continuously, instead of simply switching to battery like an offline unit. The datasheet covers the rest.
