What is the Quick Attention feature?
Placing your hand over the right ear cup lowers the volume and lets outside sounds in, long enough to exchange a few words or hear an announcement. Take your hand away and the music comes back: nothing to adjust, nothing to take off.
Does the music stop when you start speaking?
Yes, that is the Speak-to-Chat feature: the headphones recognise your voice, pause playback and let ambient sound back in. The music then resumes on its own, without you having to do anything.
What does the QN1 processor in these headphones do?
It drives the active noise cancelling: it is Sony's HD processor dedicated to that task. The Ambient Sound mode is also adjustable, so you can control how much outside sound you let through.
