Can the Galaxy S24 FE replace a secondary computer?
Partly: Samsung DeX displays a windowed desktop interface on an external screen, with a keyboard and mouse. The USB-C port runs at USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5 Gbps) for file transfers, and sound comes out in stereo.
How far can you zoom with the Galaxy S24 FE?
Up to 3x optically, thanks to a dedicated 8 MP f/2.4 telephoto lens, with an optical-quality 2x provided by the adaptive sensor. Beyond that, up to 30x, the zoom becomes digital: the image is cropped and detail depends on the light.
Does the Galaxy S24 FE offer slow-motion modes?
Yes: up to 240 frames per second in Full HD and 120 fps in 4K. Standard recording, meanwhile, goes up to 8K at 30 fps — the highest resolution available on a Samsung phone.
Do you need a physical SIM card for the Galaxy S24 FE's second line?
No: the phone accepts a nano-SIM plus an eSIM, or even two eSIMs, in addition to the standard two-card set-up. Activation is done remotely, which comes in handy for keeping a work number separate from a personal one.
Which Wi-Fi standard does the Galaxy S24 FE use?
802.11ax on 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz, with 160 MHz channels, MIMO and 1024-QAM — in other words, Wi-Fi 6E. Access to the 6 GHz band is what maintains throughput when many devices are transmitting at the same time in the home.
Does the Galaxy S24 FE's front camera focus automatically?
No, its focus is fixed: the 10 MP f/2.4 sensor does not have autofocus. Hold the phone at arm's length for a sharp portrait. The three rear sensors, however, have autofocus and optical image stabilisation.
Can the Galaxy S24 FE withstand immersion?
It is IP68-certified: complete protection against dust and protection against prolonged immersion in fresh water. Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ also protects the screen and back from everyday scratches.
How good is the Galaxy S24 FE's Exynos 2400e?
It is a ten-core chip spread across four tiers — 3.1, 2.9, 2.6 and 1.95 GHz. This split makes it possible to assign heavy tasks to the fast cores and background tasks to the more frugal ones, which limits power consumption at idle.
Is the Galaxy S24 FE bulky?
It weighs 213 g with a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel: it is a large phone, and its weight can be felt during a long session. In return, the screen offers the perfect blacks typical of AMOLED and a large reading area.
Does the Galaxy S24 FE find its position well in the city?
It relies on six positioning systems — GPS, Glonass, Beidou, Galileo, NavIC and QZSS. Using multiple constellations is what improves accuracy between buildings, where the signal from a single system bounces or gets lost.
How do you connect headphones to the Galaxy S24 FE?
Through the USB-C port, which also serves as the headphone output: a USB-C model plugs in directly, while a 3.5 mm plug needs an adapter. Wirelessly, Bluetooth 5.3 handles earbuds and watches, and NFC speeds up pairing with a compatible accessory.
