This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Does the JBL Boombox 2 deliver the same output on battery and on mains power?
No. When plugged in, it delivers 2 x 40 W for the woofers and 2 x 40 W for the tweeters; on battery, these figures drop to 2 x 30 W and 2 x 30 W. For a party where the volume really matters, having a socket nearby makes an audible difference.
How is the JBL Boombox 2's sound built?
Around two 106 mm woofers and two 20 mm tweeters, covering 50 Hz to 20 kHz with a signal-to-noise ratio above 80 dB. It is this pair of 4-inch woofers that delivers the deep bass you would expect from a speaker of this size.
How long does the Boombox 2 play, and how long does it take to recharge?
Up to 24 hours depending on volume and content, thanks to a 72.6 Wh lithium-ion polymer battery. A full recharge takes 6 hours 30 minutes: it is a speaker you charge the day before an event, not an hour beforehand.
Should you keep the Boombox 2's original AC adapter?
Yes, and it matters: it charges at 24 V / 4.2 A, a voltage that no phone charger delivers. The JBL AC adapter supplied in the box is the only way to recharge it — keep it with the speaker.
What does the JBL Boombox 2's IPX7 rating protect against?
Temporary immersion in water: a party by the pool, a heavy downpour or a trip to the beach will not stop it. The X, however, means that dust resistance was not rated by this test.
Can the Boombox 2 charge a phone?
Yes, via its USB output, which delivers 5 V / 2 A maximum, without interrupting the music. With a 72.6 Wh internal battery, topping up a phone at the end of the day only marginally eats into the remaining listening hours.
How do you carry the 5.9 kg JBL Boombox 2?
By its non-slip handle, built in along the entire length of the enclosure. Allow for 484 x 201 x 256 mm and 5.9 kg: it can be carried in one hand from room to room, and fits easily in a car boot.
Can you link the Boombox 2 to other JBL speakers?
Yes, via PartyBoost: several PartyBoost-compatible JBL speakers connect to each other and play the same music. The connection uses Bluetooth 5.1, with the A2DP 1.3 and AVRCP 1.6 profiles.
Is the speaker new and covered by a warranty?
