Is the Galaxy A36's screen readable in direct sunlight?
Its 6.7-inch Super AMOLED panel reaches 1,200 nits and refreshes at 120 Hz. This brightness is what keeps the screen readable outdoors, where a panel topping out at around 700 nits becomes hard to read.
Does the Galaxy A36 accept an eSIM?
Yes, in three configurations: two physical nano-SIMs, one nano-SIM plus one eSIM, or two eSIMs. A second line can therefore be activated remotely, without opening the tray — handy for keeping a work number separate from a personal one.
How much space is actually free on the Galaxy A36's 128 GB?
105.5 GB remain available for your files, with the system and preinstalled apps taking up the difference. This is the figure to compare with the size of your current photo library before choosing between this version and the 256 GB one.
How fast does the Galaxy A36 charge?
It supports 45 W fast charging on its 5,000 mAh battery — the highest power in the A series. A few tens of minutes are enough to get going again, provided you use a charger capable of delivering that power.
How long can the Galaxy A36 play video in one go?
Up to 29 hours — the figure measured is continuous video playback with the screen on, not a day of mixed use with network, calls and background apps on top. The battery is rated at 5,000 mAh.
Can the Galaxy A36 be submerged?
It is IP67 certified: dust-tight and protected against temporary immersion in fresh water. Rain and splashes are therefore not a problem. This resistance is not permanent, however, and decreases as the device wears.
How good is the Galaxy A36's Snapdragon 6 Gen 3?
It is a mid-range octa-core chip clocked at 2.4 and 1.8 GHz: browsing, social media, streaming and everyday games run smoothly on the 120 Hz panel. Here it is paired with 8 GB of RAM.
Does the Galaxy A36 have optical zoom?
Its zoom is digital, up to 10x: it crops the image rather than magnifying it optically. The 50 MP f/1.8 main sensor, on the other hand, is optically stabilised, which makes a real difference in low light and for video.
What can you frame with the Galaxy A36's three lenses?
The stabilised 50 MP f/1.8 covers everyday shooting; the 8 MP f/2.2 ultra-wide widens the field of view; the 5 MP f/2.4 macro allows close-up focusing. Video goes up to 4K at 30 fps, and slow motion to 240 fps in HD.
Which Galaxy AI features does the Galaxy A36 offer?
Circle to Search, which launches a search on whatever you circle with your finger on the screen, and custom filters, which analyse your gallery to create photo effects to your taste rather than generic settings.
Does the Galaxy A36 offer a desktop mode on an external screen?
This feature, Samsung DeX, is not supported on the Galaxy A36: it does not display a desktop interface on an external monitor. Sound, on the other hand, does come out in stereo, and Bluetooth is version 5.4.
Until when will the Galaxy A36 receive patches?
Until 31 March 2031, as part of the announced six generations of Android and six years of security updates. The phone therefore stays protected and compatible with recent apps well after the warranty ends.
Is the Galaxy A36 new and under warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document for 1 year. Keep it: it is the document you will be asked for when making a warranty claim.
