Frequently asked questions about this product

Does the JBL Clip 5 last 12 or 15 hours?
12 hours in normal listening and 3 more hours with Playtime Boost, i.e. 15 at most. A full recharge takes 3 hours via the USB-C port, with the cable supplied in the box.
Where can you hang the JBL Clip 5 Blue?
Anywhere its wide-opening built-in carabiner fits: backpack strap, belt loop, handlebar, tent pole. It is part of the enclosure, so nothing comes off or gets lost.
Can the Clip 5 handle water and dust?
Yes, it is IP67 certified: the 6 means complete protection against dust and the 7 temporary immersion. The manufacturer explicitly intends it for hiking and camping.
What can you expect from a 7 W, 285-gram speaker?
Mono sound from 95 Hz to 20 kHz, backed by a passive radiator that makes the bass more present. It is a background speaker — bathroom, tent, bike, desk — rather than a party speaker.
Can two devices stay connected to the Clip 5?
Yes, it supports multipoint connection: two devices stay paired at the same time, so you can switch from your phone to your computer without pairing again each time.
Can two Clip 5 speakers be paired for wider sound?
Yes: two Clip 5 speakers pair in stereo, each taking one channel, and several Auracast-compatible JBL speakers can play the same music. The connection uses Bluetooth 5.3.
