1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.
  • If the product cannot be repaired, the brand offers an exchange for another product.
  • If no product is available, a refund is issued as soon as the brand confirms it.

Faulty straight out of the box? Some brands offer an immediate exchange, others a repair. Contact us to find out what applies to your product.

Frequently asked questions about this product

What does ECC memory bring to the DS925+ compared with an ordinary NAS?
It corrects memory errors that would otherwise alter a file without any warning. On heavy projects and long-term archives, it is the difference between a faithful copy and silent corruption. It can be expanded from 4 to 32 GB.
Are drives included in the DS925+ Enterprise 32 TB bundle?
Yes, four 8 TB Synology drives, already fitted in the bays and designed for continuous operation. You plug it in and create the user accounts: no drives to order, nothing to fit.
How far can the DS925+ grow once 32 TB is no longer enough?
Up to nine drives, with a DX525 expansion unit sold separately — up to 180 TB raw depending on the drives chosen. You expand without replacing the NAS or rebuilding existing volumes.
What transfer speeds does the DS925+ reach?
Up to 522 MB/s sequential read and 565 MB/s sequential write — well above other four-bay desktop NAS units. The figures come from lab tests; actual results depend on the network and the number of simultaneous users.
How does the DS925+ cope with several users at once?
Through its two 2.5 GbE ports, which can be aggregated, with automatic failover, and through an optional NVMe SSD cache housed in two dedicated M.2 slots. The network and the cache address two different limits: bandwidth on the one hand, simultaneous access on the other.
What happens if a drive in the DS925+ fails?
Service continues. RAID 5, 6 and 10 survive the loss of one drive — two in RAID 6 — and the drive is hot-swapped, without switching the machine off. The volume is then rebuilt in the background.
Which processor powers the DS925+ Enterprise bundle?
A 4-core, 2.2 GHz AMD Ryzen V1500B. It is this processor, combined with ECC memory, that sets this model apart from Celeron-based desktop NAS units: it handles server and virtual machine backup on top of file sharing.
Can the DS925+ share files with people outside the organisation?
Yes, through the Synology Drive private cloud, designed for both internal and external collaboration, with granular access rights set user by user. Your data stays hosted on your premises, not with a service provider.
Is this DS925+ 32 TB NAS bundle new and under warranty?
New, assembled and tested before shipping, four drives included. The invoice serves as the warranty document for 1 year. The datasheet details the specifications of the NAS.
