Frequently asked questions about this product

51 g: how can a headset be so light?
Because it is mono, with a thin soft-silicone headband rather than a rigid padded one. A flexible side support, specific to the mono models in the series, keeps it steady on the head.
Why does this model have only one ear cup?
To keep one ear on the office during calls — hearing your team, a colleague, the phone next door. The other ear receives the sound through a faux leather on-ear cushion.
What is the Teams button on the controls for?
For joining a meeting with a single press and seeing notifications come in: the in-line control lights flash to signal a new Teams notification. The headset is certified for the platform.
Can you find the buttons without taking your eyes off the screen?
Yes: the keys on the in-line control have distinctive shapes and are backlit, and the microphone mute button, placed on top, can be recognised by touch. You mute the microphone without looking.
Can the mic boom be worn on either side?
Yes, it is flexible and rotates through 270°: left- or right-handed, everyone can place it on their side and position it as close as possible to the mouth.
What exactly does the microphone of this Impact 100 pick up?
It is unidirectional and noise-cancelling: it targets the mouth and noise cancellation algorithms filter out the rest, so that the person you are talking to hears only you, even in an open-plan office.
Do you need a USB-C port for this headset?
No: the USB-C to USB-A adapter is included, so the headset plugs into any workstation, old or new, with no prior installation.
Is hearing protected on this entry-level model?
Yes: ActiveGard clips unexpected sound peaks and the European limiter caps exposure at an average of 85 dB over the working day, just as on the brand's higher-end models.
Does the sound of this headset become tiring over long days?
The speaker is a semi-closed dynamic type: it gives a more balanced and natural sound than a closed design, with better airflow — designed precisely for extended use.
Is this mono EPOS Impact 100 MS new and under warranty?
Yes, new in its original EPOS packaging, adapter and pouch included. Your invoice serves as the warranty document and covers 1 year for model 1001419. The manufacturer's document for the IMPACT 100 series details all the measurements.
