3 years manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 3 years by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.
  • If the product cannot be repaired, the brand offers an exchange for another product.
  • If no product is available, a refund is issued as soon as the brand confirms it.

Faulty straight out of the box? Some brands offer an immediate exchange, others a repair. Contact us to find out what applies to your product.

The warranty covers breakdowns occurring under normal use, as defined by the brand's terms. Product breakage (drop, impact, liquid…) is not covered, nor are certain consumable parts.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Which drives are supplied in the DS725+ 16 TB bundle?
Two Synology HAT3320 Plus series drives, already installed, designed for continuous operation. These drives are built to run around the clock, something an ordinary desktop drive cannot sustain over time.
How do the two drives of the DS725+ protect your data?
With RAID 1: each drive holds an identical copy of the other. Usable space is halved, but work carries on if one of the two fails, and the failed drive is hot-swapped.
Can the DS725+ take more than two drives?
Yes, up to seven, with a DX525 expansion unit sold separately — up to 140 TB raw depending on the drives chosen. That is what makes the two-bay format viable for a growing team.
Does the DS725+ SSD cache take the place of a drive?
No: the two M.2 NVMe slots are separate from the two bays. You add cache without sacrificing capacity — useful when several people open the same large files. NVMe SSDs are ordered separately.
Does the DS725+ have ECC memory?
Yes, 4 GB of DDR4 ECC, expandable to 32 GB. ECC corrects on the fly the memory errors that would otherwise silently corrupt a file — a safeguard rarely found on a two-bay NAS, and the real strength of this model.
What transfer speeds can you expect from the DS725+ Power bundle?
Up to 276 MB/s sequential read and 224 MB/s sequential write, measured in the lab. The processor is a 2-core AMD Ryzen R1600, 2.6 GHz up to 3.1 GHz. Actual throughput depends on the network and the number of users.
How does the DS725+ connect to the network?
Through one 2.5 GbE port and one 1 GbE port, with automatic failover from one to the other. 2.5 GbE runs over a standard RJ-45 cable: the gain is immediate if your switch supports it.
Can this NAS stay in an occupied office?
Yes, it is described as compact and quiet, designed to fit into a workspace. You can then access it remotely and securely through the Synology apps, without going through an outside service provider.
Is this DS725+ 16 TB NAS bundle new and under warranty?
New, assembled and tested before shipping, both HAT3320 drives included. The invoice serves as the warranty document for 3 years. The datasheet details the specifications of the NAS.
