Frequently asked questions about this product

Does the Galaxy S26 Ultra accept an eSIM in addition to a physical card?
Yes, and three combinations are possible: two physical nano-SIM cards, one nano-SIM plus one eSIM, or two eSIMs. You can therefore keep your usual line and activate a second line remotely, without handling the tray or waiting for a physical card.
How much space is actually available on the 1 TB version?
989.5 GB is usable for your files: the system and pre-installed apps take up the difference. That leaves a comfortable margin for a complete photo library and for 8K video, by far the phone's most space-hungry format.
Is the S26 Ultra's 100x zoom a true optical zoom?
The optical zoom goes up to 5x, with two dedicated focal lengths (3x and 5x), and the adaptive sensor maintains optical quality at 2x and 10x. Beyond that, and up to 100x, the zoom becomes digital: framing stays stabilised, but the level of detail then depends heavily on the light.
What is the S26 Ultra's built-in privacy screen?
It darkens the display for anyone looking at the screen from the side. You decide what is hidden: the whole screen, certain apps, incoming notifications, or PIN codes, patterns and passwords as you enter them. No stick-on privacy film is needed.
How long does the Galaxy S26 Ultra's battery last?
Up to 31 hours of video playback from a 5,000 mAh battery: the measured figure is indeed continuous video playback, not a day of mixed use. As for charging, fast charging brings it back up to 75% in around thirty minutes.
How long will the S26 Ultra receive updates?
Security patches are provided until 28 February 2033, i.e. seven years of Android support. The phone therefore stays protected and compatible with recent apps long after the warranty ends, which also matters on the day you sell it.
Can the S26 Ultra be used as a computer on a monitor?
Yes, it supports Samsung DeX: connected to a monitor, it displays a genuine desktop interface with windows and accepts a keyboard and mouse. The USB-C port also runs at USB 3.2 Gen 1, i.e. 5 Gbps for transfers to a computer.
Is the S26 Ultra Wi-Fi 7-compatible?
Yes. Its wireless chip covers 802.11be on 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz, with 320 MHz channels and 4096-QAM: the very definition of Wi-Fi 7. Bluetooth is version 6.0, and the UWB chip locates a compatible tracker to within a centimetre.
Can you plug wired headphones into the Galaxy S26 Ultra?
Headphone output goes through the USB-C port: USB-C headphones plug in directly, while headphones with a 3.5 mm plug need an adapter. The speaker is stereo, and Bluetooth 6.0 easily handles Galaxy earbuds and watches.
What does the f/1.4 aperture of the 200 MP sensor bring to night photos?
It lets in 47% more light than the previous generation, while the telephoto lens opens to f/2.9, a 37% gain. Dark scenes come out with less noise and more detail, including in video, where noise reduction adapts to each sensor's profile.
Is the S Pen supplied with the Galaxy S26 Ultra?
Yes, the S Pen is built into the S26 Ultra. It lets you write by hand, annotate a document or a screenshot, draw and sign directly on the 6.9-inch display — uses that a finger alone cannot replace, especially on a form or a plan.
Is the S26 Ultra too bulky for one-handed use?
It measures 163.6 × 78.1 × 7.9 mm and weighs 214 g: it is a large format that is noticeable in a pocket and takes some getting used to one-handed. In return, you get a 6.9-inch display at 3120 × 1440 and 120 Hz and a 5,000 mAh battery.
Is the Galaxy S26 Ultra water and dust resistant?
It is IP68 certified. The first digit, 6, means it is completely dust-tight; the second, 8, means protection against prolonged immersion in fresh water. Rain, a splash or a rinse under the tap therefore pose no risk.
Is the Galaxy S26 Ultra new and under warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document for 1 year. Keep it: it is the document you will be asked for when making a warranty claim.
