Frequently asked questions about this product
By how much do these headphones reduce ambient noise?
Up to 30 dB through active noise cancellation. On top of that comes the passive isolation of the over-ear cushions, which surround the ear before the electronics even come into play: the two effects add up.
What battery life does the Pineapple Pro offer?
Up to 40 hours of playback, with 15-minute fast charging to get going again without waiting for a full charge. That is the ratio that matters day to day: a short break is enough to cover the day.
Can they stay connected to two devices at once?
Yes, multipoint connection keeps the computer and the phone paired at the same time: a call coming in on the mobile interrupts the video conference without you having to reconnect anything.
Do the ear cushions get hot during long listening sessions?
They are described as breathable, which limits the heat build-up of closed-back headphones worn for several hours. The over-ear design also spreads the pressure around the ear rather than on the outer ear itself.
Is the headband on these headphones adjustable?
Yes, it is adjustable: this is what lets you lower the ear cups to the right height. Poorly fitted noise-cancelling headphones lose part of their effectiveness, since ANC relies on an even seal around the ear.
Are these headphones suited to the office as well as to commuting?
That is the intended use: 30 dB less ambient noise deals with the hubbub of an open-plan office as well as the hum of a train, and multipoint covers the switching between computer and phone over a working day.
Are the Energy Sistem Pineapple Pro headphones new and under warranty?
Yes, new and genuine, with a 1-year warranty, the invoice serving as the warranty document. Keep it: it is all you need for any workshop repair.
Plugged in over USB-C, it carries the sound as well as recharging. Up to 75 hours of listening without noise cancellation, 45 hours with, and the app offers 8 equalisers and 3 isolation modes.
•Adaptive hybrid active noise cancellation, up to 43 dB attenuated
•Battery life up to 75 h without noise cancellation, 45 h with
Microsoft Teams certified, for calls and concentration in an open-plan office: noise-cancelling microphone, leatherette ear cushions that damp the background noise and an in-line controller for volume, calls and mute.
No dedicated amplifier needed: it plugs straight into a smartphone, a tablet or a laptop with no loss of volume. The 50 mm drivers cover 10 Hz to 25 kHz and the 3 m cable can be replaced if it breaks.
Wired business headset with HD sound: the noise-cancelling mic on a boom rotating through 270° keeps the hubbub out, and the dynamic equaliser switches by itself between calls and multimedia. Call and volume controls on the cord.
Thirty-five hours in total with the case with noise cancelling off, and 20 h with it on. Silicone wingtips hold the earbud without pressing, from the sofa to a run, and an ambient sound mode keeps you in touch.
•35 h in total with the case without noise cancelling, 20 h with it
Laser-tuned drivers and a built-in equaliser: the stereo sound stays crisp and free of distortion, for calls as for music. The mic boom tucks into the headband when not in use.
Plugged into a USB port, it works with no driver to install. The microphone boom swivels through 270° to move from one ear to the other, and the in-line remote sets the volume and mutes the microphone.
For video meetings and everyday calls, in stereo: a noise-cancelling microphone on a swivelling boom that folds away when not in use, and volume and mute controls right on the cable. Nothing to install.
Ultra-light at 250 g, with channels made for spectacle arms and an adjustable headband. 7.1 surround places every sound, and the cardioid microphone attenuates what comes from behind.
Five hours of listening per charge, and 15 h more stored in the charging case, for 20 h in total. The compact case slips into a pocket and recharges over USB-C in an hour and a half.
