This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

Product overview

The Hollyland Solidcom SE 4S extends full-duplex communication to four users: everyone hears and replies at the same time, just like a natural conversation. With no base station to wire up, the system is ready in seconds and runs on the 2.4 GHz band. Dual-mic ENC noise reduction keeps voices intelligible amid ambient noise, while Push-to-Talk mode lets each user open up to the group only when they choose. Each headset lasts 12 hours and resists water splashes. The ideal setup for a film crew, a technical control room or an events team.

Frequently asked questions about this product

How many users does the Solidcom SE 4S connect?
Four, in full duplex: everyone can hear and speak at the same time, as in a natural conversation, without pressing a button. The kit brings together one master headset and three remote headsets.
Is there a base station to install and wire up?
No. The four headsets talk to each other directly over 2.4 GHz and come out of the box already paired at the factory: the group is up and running in a few seconds, with no central unit and no configuration.
What is the maximum distance between two headsets?
350 m line of sight. The system uses automatic frequency hopping: it switches channel as soon as it meets interference, which matters on a set surrounded by other wireless links.
How long can a crew keep going without recharging?
12 h for a remote headset, 10 h for the master headset when it is running four remotes. The four battery packs of 770 mAh are removable and recharge in under 3 hours on the supplied base.
Can the system cope with rain on an outdoor shoot?
A protective internal coating shields the components from sweat and moisture, which makes it possible to film in the rain. Hollyland points out, however, that the headsets are not fully waterproof: splashes yes, immersion no.
Does speech stay intelligible in the middle of noise?
Dual-microphone ENC noise reduction removes more than 20 dB of ambient noise, from every direction, for a signal-to-noise ratio of 71 dB. The electret microphone covers 150 Hz to 7 kHz, the speech range.
Can you stay quiet without leaving the link?
Yes: Push-to-Talk mode only opens the mic when you press, the movable mic boom flips up to mute you, and a lock switches between mute and talk with a single press.
What can you do when the cushions wear out after several shoots?
They can be replaced, both the ear cushions and the mic covers — the latter preventing the loss of recording quality and the noise caused by wear. The batteries are also removable and replaceable.
What does the Solidcom SE 4S kit contain?
One master headset and three remote headsets, single-ear, four battery packs (770 mAh lithium-ion), a 6-slot charging base, a USB-A to USB-C cable, the manual and the numbering stickers.
Is this Hollyland 4S intercom kit new and under warranty?
Yes, new in its original Hollyland packaging. Your invoice serves as the warranty document and covers 1 year. Each headset weighs about 185 g including the battery, for a stated operating range of 0 to 45 °C.
