1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

Frequently asked questions about this product

What makes the D5 Hybrid different from other TerraMaster enclosures?
It combines 2 bays for 2.5/3.5-inch hard drives or SSDs and 3 M.2 NVMe slots in a single enclosure, to pair high capacity with SSD speed in the same place.
Does the D5 Hybrid support RAID?
On the 2 HDD/SSD bays, yes: single disk, JBOD, RAID 0 or RAID 1, with automatic rebuilding when a drive is replaced. The 3 M.2 NVMe slots, however, operate only as single disks.
Can a drive be replaced without switching off the D5 Hybrid?
Yes, the bays are hot-swappable (hot swap), with a Push-Lock system that automatically locks the drive on insertion in under 10 seconds.
Does the D5 Hybrid include the drives?
No, the HDD/SSD bays and the M.2 NVMe slots are sold empty: drives and SSD modules are to be chosen separately, for a total capacity of up to 88 TB.
What speed does the D5 Hybrid offer depending on the type of drive installed?
Up to 980 MB/s read with an M.2 NVMe SSD, about 960 MB/s with 2 SATA SSDs in RAID 0, and 521 MB/s with 2 hard drives in RAID 0.
How should data be split between the HDD bays and the M.2 slots of the D5 Hybrid?
TerraMaster recommends reserving the 2 HDD/SSD bays for rarely accessed cold data, and the 3 M.2 NVMe SSDs for frequently used hot data, to make the most of their speed.
