Frequently asked questions about this product

Is the RAM soldered?
No. The 32 GB of LPDDR5x at 8,533 MT/s sits on one LPCAMM2 module running in dual-channel mode. Unlike soldered memory, this format can be replaced: Dell offers 16, 32 and 64 GB modules for this model, which leaves headroom if your assemblies or simulations grow.
How many external monitors can be connected?
At least two. The two Thunderbolt 4 ports carry DisplayPort video, and Dell states that they can drive two 4K monitors or one 8K monitor. An HDMI 2.1 port adds a further monitor or a projector, without an adapter, on top of the machine's built-in QHD+ screen.
Is the screen a touchscreen?
No. It is a QHD+ 2560 × 1600-pixel 120 Hz panel, with 400 cd/m² brightness and 100% sRGB coverage, and an anti-glare finish. Dell does not offer a touch option at this resolution: the screen prioritises display sharpness and smoothness for design software.
How does it charge?
Via USB-C, with a 130 W adapter. The power supply plugs into one of the two Thunderbolt 4 ports, which also accept a Dell docking station. The 96 Wh 6-cell battery is the largest capacity offered for this chassis, an advantage for a machine fitted with a dedicated graphics card.
How much does it weigh?
From 2.16 kg, with the exact weight depending on the configuration, according to Dell. The chassis measures 358 × 256 mm, with a thickness of 13.78 mm at the front and 18.36 mm at the rear: a 16-inch format that slips into a laptop backpack of the same size.
