The RH-5 is the entry monitor headphone of Roland's RH range: closed ear cups, 40 mm drivers and a long cord, to practise an electronic instrument or listen to a mix.

A 3 m cord to move around

The three-metre cord gives the freedom to move from the digital piano to the computer without an extension. It ends in a gold-plated 3.5 mm mini jack plug, and the supplied adapter turns it into a 6.35 mm jack for the headphone outputs of instruments, amps and audio interfaces. With its 32 ohms and 92 dB/mW sensitivity, it also plugs into a phone or a computer to listen to music.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Does the RH-5 connect to a digital piano or electronic drums?
Yes. Its gold-plated 3.5 mm stereo mini jack plug takes the supplied adapter to 6.35 mm jack: it thus connects to the headphone output of a digital piano, electronic drums, a synthesizer or an amp, as well as to a computer or a phone.
Does the RH-5 block out room noise?
Yes, thanks to its closed-back design: the ear cups reduce outside noise and the sound of other instruments while you play or work on a mix. It is passive isolation, obtained through the shape of the headphones.
How long is the RH-5 cord?
The cord is 3 m long. This length gives the freedom to move from an instrument to the computer or the recording console without an extension, which matters when the keyboard or the drums are not right next to the desk.
Is the RH-5 comfortable for long sessions?
It weighs 190 g without the cord, a light weight that avoids fatigue during a long rehearsal or a late mixing session. Its closed ear cups rest on large ear pads.
Can you listen to music with the RH-5?
Yes. Roland also intends it for listening: its 40 mm drivers deliver full bass and clear highs over a response of 10 Hz to 22 kHz. Plugged in with the 3.5 mm mini jack, it works directly with a phone, a tablet or a computer.
