The AP01 is a 16 cm pop filter mounted on a gooseneck. Placed between the mouth and the microphone, it slows the breath of « p » and « b » consonants before it reaches the diaphragm, where it would leave a dull thump in the take.
It clamps to the stand, not the mic
A screw clamp fixes onto the microphone stand tube, below the boom or the microphone clip. The gooseneck then bends by hand to place the screen to the millimetre, in height as well as in distance. The whole unit, in black-finished metal, weighs 0.5 kg.
The microphone and stand shown in the photos are not included: the pack contains the filter, its gooseneck and its clamp.

How does the RTX AP01 pop filter attach?
With a screw clamp that grips the microphone stand tube, below the boom or the microphone clip. The gooseneck links this clamp to the screen: bend it by hand to place the filter at the right distance in front of the capsule, and it holds its position.
How big is the filter screen?
16 cm in diameter, enough to cover the capsule of a studio microphone from the front. The whole unit, screen, gooseneck and clamp, weighs 0.5 kg; the frame and gooseneck are black metal.
Are the microphone and stand included?
No: the box contains the filter with its gooseneck and clamp. The microphone and stand shown in some photos are only there for illustration; you need a microphone stand whose tube can take the screw clamp.
What is a pop filter like the RTX AP01 for?
