Reyee · RG-EW3000GX
Two Internet subscriptions, one router
A Wi-Fi 6 AX3000 router designed for a large apartment, a villa or a small office. It takes two Internet lines at once and adds up their speeds, meshes with other Reyee routers to reach another floor, and is set up from the Ruijie Reyee app.
The WAN port takes the main modem; the 4/WAN1 port can take a second one. The two Gigabit links are aggregated: their speeds add up instead of one sitting idle as a backup. The 3/IPTV port serves the TV set-top box over VLAN, and two LAN ports stay free for a PC or a console. The Mesh button and its LED handle meshing with another Reyee router.
Ports 1 and 2: PC, console, TV3/IPTV: TV set-top box over VLAN4/WAN1: second Internet lineWAN: the main modemMesh button and its LEDWith Reyee Mesh 3.0, the RG-EW3000GX links up with other Reyee routers to form a single network: up to 32 meshed devices and 192 clients in total. Between two routers, the link runs over an Ethernet cable when there is one, over the air otherwise, and switching between the two is automatic. The recommended hop count is two. 802.11k/v roaming moves the phone from one router to the next as you change rooms. Meshing only works between Reyee devices.
To check a camera recorder or a file server remotely, the router handles dynamic DNS (Ruijie DDNS and No-IP), up to 50 port forwarding rules, DMZ and UPnP. It is also a VPN server: 8 simultaneous OpenVPN tunnels with certificate authentication, or 30 PPTP tunnels. OpenVPN throughput tops out at 13 Mbit/s: enough to open your documents, not to carry an entire office's browsing. The Ruijie Reyee app and Ruijie Cloud monitor the network remotely, and a restart can be scheduled.
It connects over PPPoE, DHCP, static IP or L2TP, and can fit into an existing network in four ways. The settings interface comes in eleven languages, including Arabic and English.
Router
Plugged into the modem, it creates the network and spreads Wi-Fi 6.
Access point
Behind an existing router, it only adds Wi-Fi 6.
Repeater
Wired or wireless, it extends an existing Wi-Fi.
WISP
It picks up an outside Wi-Fi as its Internet source and shares it.
More range, or online multiplayer games? The RG-EW3000GX PRO adds external amplifiers and the GameFast gaming engine. To cover a large house, a second Reyee router such as the RG-EW6000GX meshes with this one. Other models are in the Wi-Fi routers section.
