Frequently asked questions about this product

Does this Jabra headset plug directly into a phone?
No: its connector is a QD (Quick Disconnect), a proprietary half-connector. You need to add the matching cord — to the headset port on the desk phone, or to an adapter for the computer.
Which devices does this headset work with?
It is stated to be compatible with standard landline phones, Wi-Fi phones and DECT handsets, and also connects to a PC to play audio or make voice calls — provided you have the right cord.
Does this headset have a button to mute the microphone?
No: the mute function is not built into the headset. At a workstation, muting is therefore done from the phone, the software or the cord, depending on the equipment in place.
What is the Peak Stop protection on this headset?
A peak limiter: it clips sudden sound spikes before they reach your ear. At a desk where the headset is worn all day, it protects against sudden bursts on the line, not against a continuously high volume.
Can the microphone boom be adjusted to fit the user?
Yes: the arm is a Flex type, retractable and adjustable to the user. You bring it in front of your mouth at the right distance, then tuck it away when it is no longer needed.
Does this headset reduce office floor noise for the person on the other end?
Yes, its microphone is noise-cancelling: it cleans up what the other person hears. However, there is no active noise cancellation on your side: you can still hear the office hubbub.
Why is this headset listed as narrowband?
Because it is tuned for traditional telephony: narrowband covers the useful range of the voice on a phone line, not the breadth of a music headset. It is the standard format for desk phones and call centres.
How much does this headset weigh on your head?
79 g, which is very light for a model with two ear cups. At a desk used all day, this weight is the first comfort criterion, ahead of sound quality.
Is this Jabra GN 2400 Duo headset new and under warranty?
Yes, new and genuine, with a 1-year warranty covered by the invoice. Keep it: it is all you need for any workshop repair.
