Frequently asked questions about this product

How long does the SMT750IC run on battery?
15 minutes at 50% load, i.e. 250 W, and 9 minutes at 70%, i.e. 350 W. That is comfortable for a small server or a NAS: plenty of time to finish a backup and shut down cleanly.
What exactly does the SMT750IC's SmartConnect do?
It lets you monitor the UPS remotely from a web browser, without adding a network card: it connects to the network and reports its status to an online portal. That is what the “C” in the reference stands for.
Is the SMT750IC's output a pure sine wave?
Yes, the output is a sine wave, with harmonic distortion below 5% — which is not common on a line-interactive UPS, where a stepped approximation to a sine wave is the norm.
How many battery-backed outlets does the SMT750IC offer?
Six C13 outlets, all powered by the battery, plus two IEC jumpers. Input is via a C14 inlet, with a 1.83 m cord: no hardwiring needed.
Within what voltage range does the SMT750IC correct without the battery?
From 160 to 280 V, and up to 151 to 302 V by adjusting the thresholds. Within this range, the regulator brings the voltage back to its normal value without drawing on the battery, which stays full for real power cuts.
Does the SMT750IC accept a network management card?
Yes, a slot remains available, in addition to the USB port and the cloud connection. The status can also be read on the front panel on a multifunction LCD console, and the audible alarms are configurable.
Where should the SMT750IC be installed?
Wherever you like: it is rated at 40 dBA and dissipates only 90 BTU/h, so it is at home next to a workstation. It is a tower format measuring 13.8 × 36.9 × 16.1 cm and weighing 11.8 kg, to be placed on the floor.
How long does the SMT750IC take to recharge its battery?
3 hours for a typical recharge, on a sealed lead-acid battery with a stated service life of 3 to 5 years. It is then replaced with an RBC cartridge, as the UPS uses only one.
Is the APC Smart-UPS SMT750IC new and under warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document, for a period of 2 years. The USB cable is included, switchover takes 6 milliseconds and surge energy absorption reaches 540 joules. The datasheet covers the rest.
